3 Ways To Cut Your Baby’s Nails
NB: Image is stronger than it looks 😅
Babies have fragile hands with a surprisingly strong grip. You know how they hold an object without letting go, it’s unbelievable where they get their amazing grip 💪
Whilst they have a sturdy grip, they still have soft nails that grow at a high rate. Cutting your baby’s nails can be difficult as they never stay still except they sleep.
So how should you cut your baby’s nails and what should you use?
It's best to use baby clippers or filers. Avoid the metallic ones. Aim for plastic baby nail cutters or filers.
Here are three ways to cut your baby nails safely;
Appropriate positioning: Position your baby on your lap to avoid them from moving their body unnecessarily.
Clip when they’re calm: Cut their nails when they're drowsy as they're most calm during this period.
Use special tools for babies: Use baby-specific cutters. Do not trim their nails with your fingers or teeth. It may damage their cuticle layer (Layer of flesh around their nails)
