How To Treat Eela In Babies
Babies have a natural smooth and sensitive skin prone to inflammation. Eela is a common skin problem in babies that manifests as inflamed rashes. Eela is the popular Yoruba moniker in Nigeria. However, it is known as Infantile Seborrheic Dermatitis (ISD).
Eela is common in chubby babies, and it alters the natural smoothness of your baby’s skin around their necks, joints, and buttocks and causes a lot of discomfort.
The cause is still unknown. However, here are ways to manage and treat your baby’s ela;
Bathe your baby in clean and warm water
Dress your baby in loose and light clothes depending on the weather
Change your baby’s diapers regularly and allow your baby’s buttocks to get enough fresh air before wearing them diapers
Moisturise your baby’s skin regularly with safe body creams or ori (Shea butter)
Speak with your baby’s peadiatrician before using any medication
