Why Spanking Your Toddler Only Makes Matters Worse
After they cry and act properly, what next? 🙃
Hi mama! 🙋
How are you today? I hope your week has been amazing and productive. At HQ, we’re bubbly and excited about all the exciting news for you this week.
Without further ado, let’s get into it!
Toddler Discipline: Does Spanking Do Any Good To Your Child?
I’m sure you have answered the question by now, maybe with a yes or no. It’s common practice to scold and spank children in Nigeria because we believe that’s the best form of correcting children.
However, studies have shown that it’s not the most appropriate form of parenting. If you spare the rod, you’ll spoil the child. But there are other forms of discipline that do not involve spanking.
While spanking and caning might drive home the message in a forceful way, your child might withdraw from you at this stage and this is when they need your care and affection the most.
We’ve curated effective, easy discipline strategies to help you manage your toddler.
