World Breastfeeding Week Round Up; What moms are saying + Expert advice
Yay! It's the 2021 World Breastfeeding Week
Hello there :)
Every August 1 - 7 is celebrated globally as World Breastfeeding Week. According to experts, breastfeeding is the best way to provide young infants with the essential nutrients required for growth and development. WHO also recommends exclusive breastfeeding up to 6 months of age with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to 2 years of age or longer.
Babymigo recently asked Moms what age they weaned their little ones from breastfeeding. See the jaw-breaking answers below.
Benefits of Breastfeeding for Mother and Child
Breastfeeding is one of the most effective ways to ensure child health and survival. Breast milk is the ideal food for infants. It is safe, clean and contains antibodies that help protect against many common childhood illnesses.
It provides all the energy and nutrients that the infant needs for the first few months of life, and it continues to provide up to half or more of a child’s nutritional needs during the second half of the first year, and up to one third during the second year of life.
Here are 6 Benefits of Breastfeeding for Mother and Child.
BABYMIGO MOMS BREASTFEEDING STORIES
{By Danyelle}
I shared this photo on my feed a few months back but wanted to share it again because this is still very much my reality. Working from home in the middle of a pandemic with toddlers while still nursing my almost 15-month-old.
Breastfeeding is a labour of love, and on those days where I feel like stopping, I remember why I started…
What Moms are talking about this week
My baby of 7 months stopped taking breast milk but she takes every other food.
My 3-month old baby’s poo is strong. He is always crying and only takes breast milk.
My baby of 4 months has been pooing for over two weeks now. What should I do?
My 1year 2 months old baby doesn't like eating, it all started from six months till now.
I noticed my baby of 9 months’ stomach makes unusual sounds these days.
After successful completion of EBF, my baby boy has refused to eat any other thing.
